Why visit the parlaiment buildings?

When is the best time to visit the parlaiment buildings and why

Hi Linda. Nice to hear from you.

The best time to visit is when Parliament is in session, and if you can get a pass to the public galleries to see the Canadian Parliament in action, in my opinion.

As to why, hmmmm, because it's there? :-)

Things like the historic nature of the building, the gorgeous overlook of the Ottawa River, the look down on the terminus of the Rideau Canal, it's close proximity to many features of tourist interest, and maybe too because that's where they make the laws that govern you and me.
