Time to skate!

The Ottawa National Capital Commission has announced today that the world's longest/widest skating rink is open for business, tomorrow.

By business, they mean, c'mon and skate.

The 4.5 klicks (about 2.8 miles) of Rideau Canal between starting at the NAC is ready to go.

Skaters are welcome to hit the ice at 08:00 Jan. 14/10.

There is no charge (that I know of) to skate on the Rideau Canal in downtown Ottawa, though skaters should be prepared to pay for parking in the surrounding area.
