The Tulips!!!!

Some of the tulip beds have grown, bloomed, and been turned over for planting already.

Reports suggest that visitors to the world famous Canadian Tulip Festival needn't worry. The NCC plants early, regular, and late blooming varieties to try to take into account the vagaries of weather in the Ottawa area.

In the past, Tulip Festival weather has been perfect, been far too warm, and in some years, the tulips were greeted with several inches of snow.

Still, even though there will be thousands of tulips to view, this year, I'd be inclined to visit earlier rather than later, as unseasonably warm weather forces the tulips to bloom early.
