Yes, Ottawa has a world class variety! Please see a selection below. Aviation Museum
It’s a bit historical, a bit futuristic, and last time I was there they had some neat “hands-on” displays. If you like flying have a look at what they have on display at the Aviation Museum. Canadian Museum of Civilization
That architecturally breathtaking building houses the Museum of Civilization. For a fascinating glimpse into the history of civilization, Canadian and much of the world, this is a must see. It’s also a fairly pleasant walk on a warm summer’s day! Click here for more on the Museum of Civilization. Museum of Nature
Take a walk on the wild side and visit Ottawa’s Museum of Nature. Visit the dinosaurs, birds of Canada, the prairie buffalo, the polar bears of Canada’s north. Click here for more information on the Canadian Museum of Nature in downtown Ottawa. Canadian War Museum
The structure is dramatic, built to resemble a bunker, perhaps similar to one of those overlooking a beach in France in WWII. There are “package ticket deals” for folks visiting the War Museum and the Museum of Civilization, and like many Ottawa attractions, the War Museum is opened one evening during the week at no cost to visitors. Here’s where you get more information on the Canadian War Museum. Ottawa offers many more museums. So, do please check back from time to time to see what’s been added.
