Ottawa Fall Colours

Ottawa fall colours;

In the fall of 2009 the incredibly beautiful display of Ottawa fall colours coincided with the Canadian Thanksgiving, the weekend beginning on October 10.

We took the opportunity to drive down around the Westport area southwest of Ottawa, and enjoyed both the rural and pastoral drive and some outstandingly colourful leaf panoramas.

It is too bad that my camera just carves a small - fixed image window - out of a breathtaking landscape, but I guess not everyone can own a panoramic type camera with lenses that can do a beautiful scene real justice.

Regardless, I hope that the photos of the Ottawa fall colours that I took and built into the slideshow below can give you, at least, a glimpse of what fall looks like around Ottawa, Ontario – Canada.

For folks visiting this site from a country that doesn't enjoy the season changes that Canada and Ottawa do, the only way you can really enjoy the Ottawa fall colours, is if you come and see them yourself. Why not do that?

If you don't see the slide show right away, please be patient, as, depending on your connection speed, it might take a few moments for the file to load....just below here:
