hot air balloons

Hi We would like to find a quiet park or hill to sit and watch the hot air baloons during the festival. We don't want to go to the festival. Just a place where we can put out a blanket lay on the grass and see the baloons. Thanks ___________________ Kim, I don't know the Quebec side of the river all that well. I am sure there are spots there for good viewing from outside the festival venue. If I were heading to Ottawa and just wanted to watch the balloons, I'd head for Majors Hill Park which is walking distance from Sussex Drive and downtown Ottawa. The park overlooks Hull, and Gatineau, and where you can relax on the grass enjoying what we hope will be a beautiful day in Ottawa, Hull and Gatineau for you. Bill
