Canada Day In Downtown Ottawa

With many of the streets closed to vehicular traffic, with buskers, music, restaurants and the incomparable Parliament Buildings as part of the events, Canada Day in downtown Ottawa is not to be missed.

The City of Ottawa site says... "This year marks Canada's 143rd birthday and there are lots of events listed on the calendar for you to browse. Here are some examples of events listed: Ottawa's Canada Day Festival at Queen Juliana Park; Dominion Day at the Billings Estate Museum; Canada Day at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum; Canada Day at Mackenzie King Estate in Chelsea; Dancing in the street by the School of Dance...

On July 1, 2010, downtown Ottawa and environs is the place to be.
